187. If the Earth was a spinning sphere it would experience drag that would slow it down

"The second law of thermodynamics, otherwise known as the law of entropy, along with the fundamental principles of friction/resistance determine the impossibility of Earth being a uniformly spinning ball. Over time, the spinning ball Earth would experience measurable amounts of drag constantly slowing the spin and lengthening the amount of hours per day. As not the slightest such change has ever been observed in all of recorded history it is absurd to assume the Earth has ever moved an inch."

Dubay likes to quote bits of science that he does not understand.  He really shouldn't ... it just makes him look stupid.

In order for friction to occur matter must come into contact with other matter.  Space is a vacuum.  That means that there is no matter there to come into contact with.  Therefore Earth cannot experience friction or drag as it spins in space and orbits the Sun.

Perhaps we should be looking for the big brake calipers in the sky.

Regarding the second law of thermodynamics, this states:
The state of entropy of the entire universe, as an isolated system, will always increase over time, and the changes in the entropy in the universe can never be negative.
At a stretch I suppose you could say that becaue  the Universe as a whole is always increasing in entropy that eventually the motion  of the Earth will cease.

However, the rate of  the Earth's rotation slowing has been calculated to be 140 million years before we have a 25 hour day.  By my calculation it would far take longer than the current age (14 billion years) of the Universe for the Earth's rotation to slow to a standstill relative to the Sun.

Of course if you believe that the Universe is 5000 year old that just makes the argument stronger.

Secondly, it should be obvious that just because the entropy of the Universe is always increasing it does not mean that everything in the Universe is increasing in entropy.  The solar system might have increasing entropy but when the Sun's energy is used to charge a battery the entropy of the battery decreases.

So I think we can safely dismiss Dubay's notion that the "law of entropy" will have anything to do with the Earth slowing down as nonsense.

Dubay tries to sound knowledgeable by using some science words in this proof, which is ironic since he generally dismisses what scientists have to say.  Unfortunately he doesn’t understand enough science to use appropriate words.

This does not even qualify as pseudo science.  It is just nonsense.
