154. Felix Baumgartner's camera showed curvature of the Earth because of a fish-eye lens

"The Felix Baumgartner Red Bull dive outside camera shows the same amount of “curvature of Earth” from surface-level to jump-height proving it to be a deceiving fish-eyed wide-angle lens, while the inside regular camera shows a perfectly flat horizon, eye level at 128,000 feet, which is only consistent with a flat plane."

And?

It is pretty obvious that lenses used by Felix Baumgartner did indeen have fish eye distortion.  This makes sense because his team had other things to consider than satisfying flat Earth conspiracists .. like capturing the most dramatic shots possible.

Regarding the inside camera, here Dubay is lying again.   There is no evidence of a flat horizon in Baumgartner's photos.  Firstly because the inset shown above clearly shows curvature as well, and secondly because  other pictures taken with the same camera clearly shows that it also has a fish-eye lens ... as you would expect from a camera purposed with taking pictures of a confined space.

In any case, the whole "proof" is irrelevant.  We don’t need to rely on Felix Baumgartner to prove the Earth is not flat, and discounting Felix Baumgartner’s images as distorted does not prove anything.

However, once again the list of conspirators grows longer. Now it includes Felix Baumgartner and his support team.

This denial of the curvature of the Earth also seems rather bizarre to me since on a flat Earth a curvature would also in theory be visible.  If you look at a disc from an angle, the edge will be curved.

This diagram of Earths curvature was taken from a drawing of a flat Earth seen below
