135. The Moon is self-luminescent and transparent, occasionally allowing stars and planets to be seen through it

"Not only is the Moon clearly self-luminescent, shining its own unique light, but it is also largely transparent. When the waxing or waning Moon is visible during the day it is possible to see the blue sky right through the Moon. And on a clear night, during a waxing or waning cycle, it is even possible to occasionally see stars and “planets” directly through the surface of the Moon! The Royal Astronomical Society has on record many such occurrences throughout history which all defy the heliocentric model."

The Moon is self-luminescent

If the Moon is a self-luminescent disc, please explain why the phases of the Moon exist.

Presumably Dubay believes that god has covered the Moon with lights and is selectively switching some of them on and off over the course of the month to create a nice curvy shape for us to admire like a celestial Christmas decoration.  What a shame he/she didn’t make it a little less ambiguous, maybe a multi coloured Santa’s sleigh.

The Moon is largely transparent

To “prove” this Dubay points to an image of the Moon during daytime.  The Moon has a definite blue colour which Dubay says is the blue sky visible through a transparent Moon

This is of course nonsense.  To understand what is really going on, first answer the question “Why is the sky blue?”.  When the Sun's light reaches the Earth's atmosphere it is scattered by the nitrogen and oxygen gas molecules in the air.  The shorter blue wavelengths are scattered the most strongly, so more of the blue light is scattered towards our eyes than the other colours.  I.e. the atmosphere acts like a blue filter for a camera.

Next consider that the light reflected off the Moon is affected in exactly the same way.  So of course the Moon will look blue during the day.

It is also a little hard to see how a lunar eclipse could occur if the Moon was transparent.

The Royal Astronomical Society has on record many occurrences of stars and planets being visible through the Moon

Another shameless lie from Dubay.  Mr Dubay, if you are going to make such outrageous claims please provide some evidence.  A scientific paper?  A quote from a member of the Royal Astronomical Society?  A photo?  ANYTHING AT ALL?

Dubay is a proven liar.  Don't believe a word he says without checking it yourself.
