116. Gravity can't exist because it can't be simultaneously strong enough to keep things on the ground and weak enough to allow satellites to be in orbit
"There has also never been a single experiment in history showing an object massive enough to, by virtue of its mass alone, cause another smaller mass to orbit around it. The magic theory of gravity allows for oceans, buildings and people to remain forever stuck to the underside of a spinning ball while simultaneously causing objects like the Moon and satellites to remain locked in perpetual circular orbits around the Earth. If these were both true then people should be able to jump up and start orbiting circles around the Earth, or the Moon should have long ago been sucked into the Earth. Neither of these theories have ever been experimentally verified and their alleged results are mutually exclusive."
More lies and childish reasoning from Dubay
However it is not really worth pointing this out to flat earthers because they refuse to believe that the Moon is in orbit and that satellites exist.
In theory it should be less easy for flat earthers to deny are the observations that can be made of the moons of Jupiter and Saturn with telescopes, but in practice they repeatedly deny the undeniable.

A nice way of thinking about this is that the moon is always falling towards the earth but it keeps just missing.

The Moon and every satellite put into orbit around Earth demonstrates an object by virtue of its mass (Earth) causing a smaller object (the satellite) to orbit around it. There are currently over 2000 satellites. However it is not really worth pointing this out to flat earthers because they refuse to believe that the Moon is in orbit and that satellites exist.

Dubay actually believes that if gravity allows the Moon and satellites to orbit the Earth then people would go into orbit if they jumped. I imagine that even flat earthers can see that this is a childishly ridiculous statement. You can see below for an explanation of orbital mechanics, but the key fact is that for a human to get into orbit they need not only "jump up", they also need to get to orbital velocity. Using a rocket to achieve this is our current method.“…or the Moon should have long ago been sucked into the Earth.”
Again, this is just basic orbital mechanics. The Moon is travelling at a very high speed tangentially to the Earth. The gravity of the Earth provides enough centripetal force which constantly bends the direction that the Moon is travelling towards Earth. If the velocity was too great, the Moon’s direction would not bend enough and it would fly off into space. If the velocity was too small, the Moon’s direction would bend too much and the Moon would come crashing into earth. I won’t bother going into the maths, but as you can plainly observe the tangential velocity as it travels across the night sky, and that velocity is sufficient to keep the Moon in orbit.A nice way of thinking about this is that the moon is always falling towards the earth but it keeps just missing.
