27. On a fast spinning Earth airplanes landing on runways would be practically impossible
“If Earth and its atmosphere were constantly spinning Eastwards over 1000 mph, landing airplanes on such fast-moving runways which face all manner of directions North, South, East, West and otherwise would be practically impossible, yet in reality such fictional concerns are completely negligible.”
This is a repeat of proof 24. Again Dubay shows that he does not understand relative motion.
Taking this step by step for Mr Dubay ....

Yes, the tangential speed of the Earth and runway (at the equator) is over 1000 mph, BUT as the “proof” admits, so is the atmosphere.
The plane is flying within the moving atmosphere. A plane flying at the typical landing speed of say 160 miles per hour, is flying at 160 miles per hour relative to the atmosphere whichever direction it is facing.
Because the atmosphere is moving with the ground and runway (i.e. both at over 1000 miles per hour) this means that the plane is flying at 160 miles per hour relative to the ground and runway whichever direction it is facing.
So when the plane lands on the runway, the only speed it needs concern itself with is its own 160 miles per hour …. Whichever direction it is facing.
So yes, these concerns are fictional. A fiction made up by Eric Dubay.
