More unsubstantiated opinion from Dubay.  Not a proof in sight.

Yes, the Ancient Greeks may have referred to planets as wandering stars.   That doesn't mean that they are stars.  I ate a Hot dog the recently.  I certainly hope it did not involve dogs, hot or not.  

It was widely accepted by astronomers since the 17th century that planets were fundamentally different from stars and that Earth was a planet.  Flat earthers have of course chosen to take their beliefs from an earlier more ignorant time.

If you look at a sphere without any detail it does indeed look like a disk.   However despite Eric Dubay’s denials we are able to see surface details of planets.  E.g. Jupiter’s has very prominent surface detail visible through telescopes (admittedly expensive telescopes).  Obviously professional “planets” have been known for thousands of years around the world as the “wandering stars” since they differ from the other fixed stars in their

relative motions only.astronomers have far more powerful telescopes and can see things is far more detail.  You can observe these surface details move across the face of the “disk”, exactly what you would expect observing a rotating sphere.

Presumably flat earthers believe that each planet is a huge TV screen provided by god with the same film playing on a loop for eternity.  I’m hoping for a change to Netflix sometime in the near future.

Saturn’s rings can also be seen.  These certainly look like a ring circling a planet to me.

Please flat earth sympathisers, go and buy a powerful telescope instead of just believing any nonsense that comes out of Eric Dubay’s mouth.
